I got involved with the schools soon after I arrived in Norwich. Before joining the Board, I was a member of the Long-Range Planning Committee and Principal Search Committee at the Marion Cross School. When a spot on the Board opened up in 2011, I applied for the position, but was unsuccessful in my bid. When another spot opened in August of 2012, I applied again and was appointed. I’ve felt fortunate to be on a board with such dedicated membership that works to oversee a school system with such devoted and capable administrators, teachers, and staff. My daughters, Mae and Rosemary ware fortunate enough to now experience the work of all these people firsthand.
